The MLTA President's Distinguished Service Award is bestowed upon individuals whose dedication and long-time support of the association is extraordinary and much appreciated. These individuals have gone above and beyond in their work to represent the title industry in Maryland.

Eric M. Schneider, Esq., CLTP, MLTA Past President, is awarded the ALTA National Title Professional Designation

Washington, DC, September 23, 2013 — The American Land Title Association (ALTA), the national trade association of the land title insurance industry, recently awarded a National Title Professional (NTP) designation to Eric Schneider of Lakeside Title Company in Columbia, MD.

“This designation is a testament to Eric’s vast experience and display of professionalism in the land title industry,” said ALTA President Frank Pellegrini. “His commitment to the industry is admirable, and I congratulate him on his National Title Professional designation.”

Schneider, who has practiced law since 1980, performs in-house title examinations and reviews legal documentation for Lakeside Title. Previously, he worked for a large Maryland title agency as the manager of their Gaithersburg operations and served as agency underwriting counsel for several title insurance underwriters. Schneider serves as chair of ALTA’s Education Committee. He also is a past president of the Maryland Land Title Association (MLTA). Additionally, Schneider is a member of the Montgomery County, Maryland State, and American Bar associations.

The National Title Professional (NTP) designation recognizes land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property.*

Roberta Schneider, CLTP, MLTA Past President, is awarded the ALTA National Title Professional Designation

Washington, D.C., December 12, 2013 — The American Land Title Association (ALTA), the national trade association of the land title insurance industry, recently awarded six National Title Professional (NTP) designations.

The professional designation was received by Jeffrey S. Wolff of Fidelity National Title Group in Fort Collins, Colorado; Charlene M. Ostroski CLTP of the Pennsylvania Land Title Association in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; Cara L. Detring of Preferred Land Title in Farmington, Missouri; Roberta Schneider CLTP of Fidelity National Title Group in Columbia, Maryland; Chuck Sheffield of AmeriTitle in Bend, Oregon; and Linda Stelle of AmeriTitle in Bend, Oregon.

“Each of these recipients demonstrate an exemplary level of knowledge and commitment to the land title insurance industry” said ALTA president Rob Chapman. “It is my pleasure to congratulate them on their National Title Professional designations and to recognize their hard work, talent and dedication.”
